Free Bodiless Sampler coming soon!

Posted by Dobyns on April 16th, 2010

Bodiless will begin to get mastered in the next few weeks. Emily Lazar of The Lodge (Vampire Weekend, Depeche Mode), is once again behind the mastering boards, and we are eagerly waiting to hear the finished product. So, in the time between now and the release of Bodiless, we decided we wanted to give each and every one of you a present. The Bodiless sampler will feature two new songs taken from the upcoming LP, and will be given away to you for free! Along with the sampler, ten of those packages will contain a TTR shirt. As we get closer to the release of the Bodiless sampler, I will let you know how you can receive it. Lonn and I spent an incredible lengthy amount of time in the studio this winter, and we want you to hear the results as soon as possible. It is merely to show you how much we’ve appreciated all of your emails, letters, and reactions when we have seen you live. I will keep you posted on when and how you can receive the Bodiless sampler.

It’s coming…

I thought I would give everyone a real update on the progress of our upcoming full length, “Bodiless.” It has been an incredibly rewarding experience being in the studio for the last month and a half. We began writing this LP in the beginning of the fall of ’09 and have been very careful with this process. It was important to us, as artists, to take them time necessary to record this record the way we wanted to. For the first time ever as a band and individuals, we had that luxury of  time until we are 100% happy with the end results. Of course there has been weird, crazy and upsetting situations over the last 6 weeks but that is expected with 2 people who are as neurotic as we are. This record is our reinvention of TTR. Personally, this is an album I have always wanted to make, and never was able to until now.  While it’s 3:30 am right now, and being in the studio since the middle of winter sure has to started to wear me down, I am overly excited to share our debut full length with you.  Nothing beats the feeling of listening back to something you spent a significant amount of time creating, while it sends chills down your spine with an ear to ear smile. Yes, that’s exactly what I am doing at the moment.  Even though the post production will not be finished for a few weeks, I will be going home more satisfied than ever before.  I guess it would only be fair for me to describe a little of the record because I usually am  very cryptic. We have dropped the “rock band” element. Replacing heavy guitars and conventional live drums with an array of synthesizers and drums machines that truly represent who we are and where we are going. We are almost out of the mist, and see a clearing. “Bodiless” is coming to terms with our disconnection.

For everyone who has written regarding the online store,- I apologize, for that the store is down for the time being and we will announce when it goes back up in a few weeks! Thanks for your patience.
